Suspension of Masses

Due to measures introduced by Healthcare Authorities discouraging gatherings of people in the present crisis, the public celebration of Sunday and weekday Masses in St Anthony’s, St Gabriel’s and St John the Baptist churches are suspended until further notice. The bishops have dispensed everyone from the obligation to physically attend Sunday Mass.

Parishioners can avail of Sunday Mass and Mass on St Patrick’s Day on the parish webcams at 10.00 am from St. John the Baptist, 10.30am from St Gabriel’s and at 11.30 am from St Anthony’s only.

The three parish webcams can be found on your computer, tablet or smartphone at the following web addresses:

Mass during ordinary weekdays will be available from each of the three churches on the webcam at 10.00 am

The three churches will be open each day after Mass times until 4.00 pm for private prayer and reflection. As the Irish Bishops’ Conference have said, this is an occasion for all of us – especially in families -to pray more intensely for each other and especially for those who have succumbed to the illness. We should pray also for those in the frontlines – especially doctors, nurses and medical staff and other carers, including clergy – that the Lord will protect them as they place their own wellbeing at risk in the service of all.

Please view the parish websites for latest information. Mind yourselves, your love ones and neighbours in the coming weeks. Keep well. Beannachtaí.
